The Crack that Never Was
Sora asked a series of questions in a small fraction of time, "What do we do now? Are we still going with them? Wouldn't it just be better to go by ourselves? I mean, isn' it righ-Woah. Is that Twilight Town?"
It couldn't be...
BUT IT WAS!
A shadowy, rippling image of Twilight Town was hovering above the sea of Destiny Islands. It must have been a portal, possibly opened by one of the Organization members. There was a way to get to new worlds, after all!
...and suddenly the thought of traveling with Luxord, Larxene, and Sai'x didn't seem so appealing.
"C'mon, Sora!" she pulled the keybearer up to his feet. "We have to find a way to take Riku with us.....you wanna carry him or should we make a stretcher?"
He looked kind of funny actually, sleeping like a baby. It didn't seem like he was so much the prince of emo as oppposed to....someone who badly needed a haircut.
PRINCE OF EMO RIKU NEEDS A HAIRCUT HAHAHAHA... sorry found that really funny.. >__> ahem.]]
Truly surprised that Twilight Town was RIGHT THERE, Sora was a bit lost for words.
Ow, Sora thought as his arm got yanked up by Kairi. Was she working out or something? Dang. Hearing the conversation switch to Riku, he brushed off his pants and leaned back down again, crouching. Ha, that'd teach Kairi not to pull his arm out of his socket!
"Mmmmm, I dunno Kairi. He's kinda big? I mean, tall, y'know?" Heavy, Sora added in his head. Not so light on the shoulders. "Maybe he'll wake up?"
Sora lightly poked Riku in the side, right where he was ticklish. Casting a look back to the house, he fidgeted.
"Could we just drag him?"
Most of the time, Luxord served as a stress relief when Sai'X was on the verge of mauling someone, so he was very familiar with the highs and lows of the berserker's temper. And when Sai'X so eloquently growled, "Deal the cards," Luxord knew that the temper was past the point of no return. A simple game of go fish (no matter how many times Luxord snuck cards in to give him the win) could not quell the maelstrom of rage caged within Sai'X.
He threw a side glance at Larxene just to give her a bit of warning. In a desperate move, Luxord jumped out of his chair and patted his thighs like he was beckoning a puppy forward. "Look! Looky what I have!"
He reached into a dark portal and pulled his hand back out to reveal a duck-shaped squeaky toy. "Stress relief!"
He squeezed it twice before he sprinted out the door and down the hall at top speeds, squeaky toy still in hand. He burst through the front door and formed a dark portal to Twilight Town just outside where the trio of keyblade kiddies were waiting. "Ladies and gents, if you value your arms and legs, FLEE!" he cried before sprinting through, knowing the berserker was probably right on his tail.
Sai'X stared in rapt fascination when Luxord began reaching around in the portal. He had initially looked the other Nobody's way when he heard the slapping sound, instantly ready to bite the Gambler's head off for resorting to such a demeaning manner of getting his attention...even if he was twitching and snarling in his chair...but then..there it was...a squeaky!!!!!!!!
The Berserker was damn sure he heard a Heavenly choir somewhere in the room. In fact, yes there it was, golden light shining down angelically upon the little rubber ducky.
Yellow eyes wide, he slid his chair back, the legs grating against the floor before he lunged, knocking the table out of the way. Hopefully Larxene had moved because if she didn't...well she might have a bump or two. Not that he cared, there was a squeaky to be had! And Luxord was RUNNING AWAY WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!
"LUXOOOOOOORRRRRRRHHHHRRRRD!!!!" The furious bellow was the only warning the Berserker gave before thundering through the house, hot on the Gambler's heels.
It was a doomed day for the little pink house, the humble home simply couldn't stand up to his one-minded chase. Walls were struck, cracking as he slammed into, or through, them in order to get to Luxord and the squeak toy. Knickknacks and furniture alike were thrown out of the way, wood splintering as he trampled over it. He exploded through the door, now making the total of doors in Kairi's house that he had destroyed numbered at two. Spotting the edges of Luxord's coat vanishing into the portal he gave a shout of pure frustrated rage before barreling into the darkness in pursuit of his stress relief.
A reverberating, "SQUEAKY!" his parting comment to the Destiny Islands.
Kairi didn't have to look around behind her to know that the loud and rummbling crash was coming from her home. She peeked a look from the corner of her eye, slowly turning her shoulder to look upon the destruction.
The house...was starting to lean over. The creak and groans of wood and splintered foundations pierced the air like a squeal of warning.
"C'mon!" Kairi cried to Sora in a maddened panic, grabbing one of Riku's limp arms. "We gotta get out of here! The whole place is gonna collapse!"
Almost as soon as Larxene had sat down she saw Luxord give her a warning glance, and her brow furrowed briefly as he called to Saix and then reached into a portal ad pulled out... a squeaky toy. This wouldn't end well.
She had the sudden urge to get the hell out of the way as Luxord took off with the toy in hand, and not a moment too soon as Saix gave a thunderous roar and bolted after him, tossing the table out of his way, and coincidentally straight onto her head. The table knocked her flat and drove her straight to the floor, where she lay for a few seconds and listened to the sound of walls crashing down. Then came a spark.
"GODDAMMIT SAIX!!" The table practically flew as she threw it off of her and through the kitchen ceiling, lightning crackling around her as she glared at the destruction Saix had left in his wake. If she wasn't so against bringing the berserker's rage upon herself she might have added him to her blacklist. But as she certainly didn't want to face off against a crazed Saix she would leave him alone. Ignoring the house crumbling around her she stormed through it and out the front door, glancing briefly at the keybladers still on the ground outside before following the two Nobodies into the portal.
